Effetto Mariposa Caffelatex Tubeless Rim Tape

Most tubeless tapes are pretty much the same thing with a different brand name these days. However, Effeto Mariposa have taken some time out to actually develop a truly industry leading product with their tape.

Who’s this for: Riders looking for a top tier tubeless tape.

Adhesive: This is one of the major things that makes this Caffelatex tape that much better than the competition. Most brands just use a standard natural rubber glue. This tape uses a state of the art special adhesive that is so strong it can stick to silicone treated paper! It also develops a stronger bond over time, and is much more tolerant to temperature changes and ageing.

Tape: The tape is very flexible, allowing it conform to just about any rim shape with ease.

Roll: This is a small change, but will make you think, ‘why has no one done this before!’ The core of the roll is only 1″ in diameter, which helps drastically when applying the tape, just stick your thumb in and let it roll. Other brands typically use a 3″ roll, which can get fiddly.

Length: 8 metres is enough for roughly 4, 29″ rims.

Small: 20-24mm rims
Medium: 25-29mm rims
Large: 30-34mm rims
