The Al Grounder is Schwalbe’s new tyre that sits somewhere between tourer, commuter, e-bike and gravel with true all-round capabilities.
Suitable for use on roads, paths, dirt track, and easy trails the Al Grounder has been designed to roll quickly and quietly and give you enough traction and stability off-road.
The Double Defense construction provides high levels of puncture resistance and the Al Grounder provides equal parts grip and durability making it a great choice for many riders who aren’t dedicated off-roaders.
Who’s this item for: Commuters and Tourers who want a bit of off-road traction for their travels in addition to puncture protection and great rolling speed.
Suggested terrain use: Excellent on roads, great on a hard-packed dirt track, good on a gravel road and okay on dry trails.
Which wheel: Happy on either wheel, but you could pair it with a front with more bite as it would make a great fast rolling rear tyre for smoother trails.
Suggested Rim width: The 2.35″ variant would be fine on anything 17mm to 30mm internal width. The 2.6″ variant needs a bit more width and is recommended for 22mm to 35mm internal width rims.
